Spider Cracks?

In the midst of my restore project, 84 Bayliner 2750,<br /> http://community.webshots.com/user/speakrdude <br /><br />I have all the windows removed and other fixtures. Under the edges of some of the window areas and some other areas, there are some cracks in the gel coat from the edge. How do you repair those as-well-as, chips and other dings?<br /> Do you 1st, grind out the crack with a dremel such tool? Then fill with resin or plastic filler, sand and regel coat? I am planing to repaint the entire boat so now is a good time to do some fillin. <br /><br />Jim

if your going to paint the whole boat you can just prime the filled areas and forgo the gel.. <br /><br />diegrinder or dremel the cracks thoroughly, fill with fairing compound, sand, prime, etc.. <br /><br />i like Awlgrips high density primers...
