Re: spinner

Well fellows, this is how it went.
Got there Friday evening in time to unhook the boat and go find this place and a place to get some live bait.
Went there Saturday morning and under very windy conditions caught some fish on live bait.
It was so windy, all I could do was tie up to something, :D anything  and just live bait fish.
Started to go put in at the Kenwood ramp but they were 2 different groups having tourneys that day so we went to the Rodman campground which is real nice and put in there at their ramp.
We fished till about 2 and then loaded up and went back over to the Kenwood ramp to see the weigh in and they weighed in some nice catches to be so windy.
Some 4 and 5 pounders with a big fish I think right around 8.
We went back out Sunday and it was windier than Saturday.
We went back to the campground ramp, out to the first channel marker and tied up and caught 9 fish between 2 and 5 pound.
We quit about 12 or so cause they were calling for some more bad weather and a tornado  watch was in effect to I think, and started back home.
Had to stop by Tifton, Ga. and check out Paradise PFA before coming all the way back.
All in all, a pretty good trip. :)

Re: spinner

Glad you had a good trip Spinner... I know what you mean about the wind... I was working on the boat all that weekend and my portable canopy and everything else kept trying to fly away...

Re: spinner

yea snapperbait, all I had to do was tie up to something and fish.
When I got ready to come back in all I had to do was point the nose inwards and hold on.
Didn't even have to drive er up on the trailer, loaded itself with the wind pushing it. :D
J/K, but the wind was blowing from 20 to 30MPH all day.
The wind blowed that floating grass across the canal leading to the boat ramp 3 different times while we set there and fished. Just covered up the canal where you could not make out where the entrance was almost.
