darn thing way to high and I need to idle down. Appears to be 3 adjustment areas(one on top of the other all related) port side that would effect the throttle set up. Are there any semi-lamens instructions on how you would adjust each to lower the idle??

I would suggest a factory manual and follow all steps, in order, for sync and link. All this is done on the startboard side. Offhand I cant think what you are refering to on the port side.

I would almost bet the carb linkage is slightly open but thats only a guess. Has it always done this or did something change? Carb rebuild or other adjustments? How high? In thw water or on a flush?

Good luck!

I think Dhadley is right. There's only one screw for adjusting idle on this engine and it's on the starboard side. It's a "stop" type screw and adjusts both carbs. Make sure your throttle valve in both carbs is fully closed at the idle position. Idle specification is 600-700RPM, warmed up and in gear.
