After a 3 hour hour uneventful tow, splashed the bowrider around 6PM on Saturday. Felt great to finally have it back in the water again, especially after spending two days cleaning and waxing the hull.

This was the first time out, with the new 1290 smart tabs. You have heard this all before, but here goes anyway. Tabs are at mid-position, and were not adjusted during weekend.

Bowrise: With drive tucked in, essentially no bow rise. Have to be ready on the trim, beacuse the boat is up and out before you know it. If you miss that old bow rise, leave the drive in the out position

Porposing: High speed proposing is gone. Picked up 2-3 mph according to speedo.

Turning while on plane: Feels more controlled and able to make tighter turns. Not quite as good as the smart tabs on the 14' alum boat(felt like rails).

V-bow wander: Is better, but not eliminated. With drive in mid-position, much better. Some improvement when drive is in up position for shallow water running.

They do everything that that they say they will. Well worth the price, and easy installation.
