Splashwell steering help

Hi guys on my splashwell steering system i need to change the threaded cable end but cannot hold the cable to undo it without it spinning.
Any ideas?

Ayuh,... Got a picture,..?? I don't think it comes apart there...

Maybe a strap wrench that wont disturb the shaft.

Okay i dont have a strap wrench tho. Ive tried using an old fan belt from a car but it still slips. Im running out of ideas!
