Hey everyone,

This is kind of an odd request, BUT...

If someone out there is in the Massachusetts/Southern NH area, who knows how to splice eyes into double-braid poly AND has the tools to do so, could you contact me? I've got a one-piece contract job I'd like to foist off on someone with experience.

I know that the instructions on how to do this are out there online, but I'd rather toss someone 10 beans or w/e and have them do it rather than go out and buy a fid set, etc...

Please PM me or respond to the post if you can help me out.

Thanks!

Find any Coast Guard station or ship nearby. Any Bosun's Mate worth a hoot can splice double braid with his/her eyes closed! Most will do it for a refreshing adult beverage or 2...

I'm in VA so I'm a little far for ya - sorry!

Hmmm...You don't need any tools and it only takes ~15 minutes. If you can count chevrons, and you have a pair of scissors, a sharpie, a piece of wire and some tape, then you've got it. I think you might be overestimating the difficulty...
