Can anyone give there opinion on these plugs do they help or hurt your engine?
Do they void a factory warranty?

Re: Split Fire Spark Plugs

Howdy, Gambler. I got good results with split-fires in a high-mileage auto. I wouldn't have noticed any difference if I wasn't such a nut about monitoring everything. When I convertd to CD ignition it ran better on platinum plugs (Bosch).

I don't think I would stick split-fires in a 2 stroke. They are too sensitive to the slightest deviation from recommended heat range, gap, etc. I have always gotten best performance from recommended Champion or NGK and use Champions as a matter of habit.

Good luck.
JB

Don't gamble with your motor, Gambler. According to the OMC Certified Technician who repaired the damage done to my motor by split-fires inserted by a jack-leg mechanic, they will do damage. As for voiding a warranty, you need to read your manual. I believe the manual on my new Ocean Pro says that failure to use plugs that meet the original equipment specs will void warranty coverage.
