I recently replaced the inline gas filter on my 96 Force 120 after replacing the fuel pump diaphrams. Took out the boat several times, however on my last trip I discovered gas pouring from the cowling and upon inspection I realized the fuel filter has split open. Was this a defect in the aftermarket filter or am I missing something incredibly obvious. Anythoughts, I'm heading to Mercury for a new filter this afternoon.
