Gunna be expensive! Around 1500 bucks. Unless everything is trash, you are better off rebuilding it yourself--that is if you don't mind doing the work. It's relatively simple though, and for example, boring three cylinders oversize will cost around 150-180, three oversized pistons to match are about 120 each and gaskets + misc. will cost 50-60 So; for about 600 bucks you can rebuild it--as long as the rods and crank are ok.

If, as I remember, that engine is mounted vertically, you also have the option of buying a used powerhead or even outboard and mount that powerhead on the jet. Used Forces always come up for sale on ebay.

Not too sure if you would need to change the impeller but the mounting for the 90 and 125 block is the same so another option is to go the 4 cylinder block and electronics for a little more steam.

At any rate, if you intend to keep the engine, buy a manual for it. Clymers does not specifically mention the jet models so you may need to buy another or factory manual.

Thanks Frank ---I would love to put a used 120 outboard block in there--I have gotten a lot of mixed info on this---how do I find out which block will fit---this fits in a 1994 Bayliner jazz jet boat and no one seems to know what will fit on the jet drive????? Thanks Steve

1994 is after Merc started changing them--The only jet I ever saw up close was Sea Rayder with a 120 mounted vertically in it. While the blocks, pistons, connecting rods, carbs, and mounting studs are all the same, at some point Mercury changed the number of splines on the crankshaft. So if you are thinking of getting a 120, you need to be sure that the crank splines are the same number as the ones on your existing 3 cylinder.

But I'll bet if you go over to the Chrysler Crew--either the help column or the chat room on Thursday nights 9pm to 11pm Eastern Standard time--someone there will know. Some of the old soldiers there (specifically Dave and Franz) have forgotten more than I'll ever know.
