I just purchased a Regal Rush sport jet boat. It had been sitting up for a few years, so I went over it to see if I could see anything wrong. I started the engine and heard loud noises coming from the engine. To make a long story short, it broke a connecting rod and filled the crank case full of metal. I want to either replace the powerhead or rebuild it. I am a automobile mechanic but I have rebuilt a couple of older outboards. I guess my question is, where can I find a used power head or a rebuilt power head for this thing. Any advice is needed. It is a 1997 model with a Mercury sport jet 175 (2.5Liter).

Tear it down and see if crank is ok, if so any 175 2.5 motor will work just swap cranks and electrical.
