Hello .Ive being trying to fix the problem but then found out it was missing this OMC#314166 brg ndle vlv in the carb .Could this be the cause of my idleling problem?? thank you.
Absolutely. That actually is more of a seal than a bearing. It will suck air around the threads if it is missing or worn. You ARE sure it is missing, right? They are hard to see in there.
Yes sir i'm sure it is missing.The only thing i see is like a flat washer where i thing the brg ndle vlv should sit and the black or grey lead at the end in the whole if you want.I bought this motor for 150 $ can.it was sitting for over 25 years in a basement.Did all what you should do like change the impeller spark clean piston and carb kit change the thermostat ect ect...When i first started it the neigbord though my garage was on fire lots of smoke but after 10 minutes it started to turn normal but only idle would not work properly.ordered that part omc brg ndle vlv and hope it will fix the problem.Thank you sir for your reply.this site help me alot..
No problem adjusting the carb when it is complete.But found out it was missing the brg ndle vlv.Now i know why had problem adjusting idle thank you all.
