How do I wire it. its the kind that has the two plastic rings with two copper rings in the middle between the plastic if you were looking at it ,it would be in the middle of the spotlight shaft I don't know if its a one wire or a two wire I do know that the bulb is a two post do they make a one post spotlight bulb its driving me crazy. it has no name on it to look up. it is the correct spotlight to the boat ( 1962 ROYAL SCOTT SKI BOAT ) manual thru the dash control and you can turn it left or right or up and down.........SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP.........IT'S OLD SCHOOOOOOOOOOOOL

just guessing but I would look for terminals on the 2 brass rings. It sounds like the bulb holder has contacts that ride on the brass rings so you can turn the light with out twisting the wires (this could be backwards and the wires attach to contacts and the brass rings go to the bulb holder). On boats you always run 2 wires to a bulb. If you look at the bulb how many filaments does it have inside. It should have one filament (if you can see the number on the bulb its easy to google to get a replacement)

What I'd do is take 2 wires, one directly connected to each post of the battery and start poking around, with the loose ends, at the light. When it lites you've got a starting point to trouble shoot. Corroded connections etc.
