Spray can clear coat?

After wet sanding 800, 1000, 1500, and 2000 grit. Rubbing compound, Polishing compound and wax, the old sprint has got its shine back. I was curious if I could wash the wax off with some wax remover and use some clear coat clear spray paint to keep the shine, then wax?

The clear coat will just flake off unless you sand first with 800 grit. Also the clear will have to be waxed later as it too will lose its shine. No different then a car

Thanks guys, saved me alot of Headache and wasted money. Your thoughts on multiple coats of wax. Some here say that you never really get multiple coats of wax, because everytime you add a new coat of wax that it removes the other coat of wax. Is this accurate?
