Spray can "OMC TUNEUP"

Has anyone heard of this stuff? You spray it in thru the carbs, let it sit overnight and run the engine the next day. Two of my friends swear they can feel a performance difference on their 'older' engines. It's supposed to loosen up gunny Rings and dissolve the carbon. I'm thinking about trying it on my Yamy but I'm looking for some input.

Mercury has the same type stuff called Power Tune. It's basically a carbon-removing solvent. Some swear by it, others at it. There's a few past posts on decarbonizing, try a search and read the pros/cons and decide for yourself. I personally use it, and think it's a good idea.

I've used the OMC stuff. If you have the valve stem port by your fuel pump it's really easy. Make sure you run it all out at idle before you push your engine under load though.
