I add some in with every other tank<br />Now before puting it away for the winter should i use the spray,can i do this out of the water using muffs?<br /><br />I want to do the winter prep this time,because its time i learned and because the yard doubled the price this year $ 200<br />for fuel stablizer,foging spray prop grease lower oil change.<br />Any tips on the how to would be great<br />DONT HAVE A PROP WRENCH ,CAN I USE A LARGE DEEP SOCKET @ BREAKER BAR,after jaming the prop with wood

$200!! A deep socket will work fine. Check the fluid as it drains from the lower unit - water, real 'milky' color, or metal grit is bad news; otherwise you're OK. Refill with fresh outboard lower unit fluid. Use FRESH gaskets on the drain & fill screws, and even a bit of sealant on the threads if you like. Put grease, or OMC gasket sealer, on the propshaft when you re-install the prop in the spring - this way the prop won't corrode & stick on. I spray down the outside of the powerhead (under the cover) with OMC 6-n-1. It's sort of like WD40 but with some soft wax in it, does a great job of slowing corrosion and keeping the wires dry.
