All:
Spring is coming to the midwest and my 20' VIP will be coming out of her winter hibernation. This is my first Spring of owning it. I had it professionally winterized, so my questions are cosmetic. My boat is 15 yrs old, is clean, but some parts are more faded (not really oxidized), and there are some stubborn water spots that I could not remove last fall with Vinegar, then Mequiers spot remover.

In reading/researching about spring cleaning, waxing, restoring, de-oxidizing....the myriad of products is very confusing. I would love to get thoughts on a Spring Cleaning checklist along with some products you recommend do the job

Also, should I get an orbital polisher to do this, or does it work to have a polisher on the end of a drill/driver, or good ole elbow grease. Thanks in advance.

spray nine is great for getting stains out and so is easy on easy off. The easy on/off is hard on your lungs so take caution. I use both. Depending on the stain one may work better then the other. As far as wax 3M ultra marine wax is the best with a 10" buffer.

Dont waste your money on an orbital polisher unless you have a relatively new finish.Get a circular rotary polisher and let it do the work for you.Start with some polishing compound and go from there.Charlie
