Doesn't feel much like spring here right now. Just had some ice/snow come through. About 30 degrees. At least it only gave us an inch or so.

The 5th season has started!!! We call it MUD season and we are in for one heck of a mess for a few weeks ....... and love it!

Indeed! 74 here today so I opened all the doors on the shop to let some fresh air though. Amazing how oders build up in the long winter months.

On the down side, the ^%#_(U&%#^ grass is greenig up fast and it'll be mowing season soon. This year with the cost of fuel I'm seriously considering lettting half or more of the 10 acers I mow go "wild" for the year.

My brother in law used to raise sheep. He was always looking for grass to put his sheep on.
Or you could get a few cattle, raise your own beef.....GO Green

Yea spring is here, planted lettuce and spinach, and did spring cleaning on the boat. Crappie are biting!!!!!

Is Bah Humbug appropriate? Or is that only for Christmas? My unavoidable jealousy forces me to tell you all...again...I hate you. I hope you all get sunburned, and your beer gets warm. I hope only the small fish are biting, and your boats all run .03mph slower than last year.

Seriously...splash a little extra, drink an extra cold one, wet one more line, and eat an extra burger or dog for all of us that will not be joining you. Pics are a must, BTW, as we live vicariously through each and every one of you!

Thank a vet, thank a civilian support contractor, thank the families that support them, and have a safe and wonderful spring boating season!!!

Got home from work yesterday morning (I work nights), and mowed the lawn for the first time this season. My neighbors have been mowing for three weeks already. Slacker I am!!!:redface: Actually, my neighbors are just really on top of their lawns...

Seriously, though, it wasn't that bad. With a good machete, a compass, and some emergency food and water just in case, you could easily have made your way to my front door.

If it weren't for all the work I've been doing lately, as well as saving for the June 18th get together in St Augustine, I'd have had the boat in the water for more than a month already.

Well spring is certainly here in the part of China I am in. Shenzhen. 80 degrees and humid as heck !!! Looking forward to getting home and having a "real spring"

Mowed my weeds on Saturday.

Record time.

Less than 2 hours, including unwrapping extension cord from mowing deck.

Who in their right minds sells those things in green?

Drive ways cleared for the most part, but muddy, there is green grass showing above the septic tank (a true sighn springs here ) and the bases of the trees all have a big snow well.

We don't have spring here. Our seasons are Hurricane Season, Tourist Season, Bug Season, and Dry Season.

Typical, they're talking 8 - 18". Plow is going back on and weight put back in the truck today. That should guarantee us 2" at the most....
