spun hub

spun hub a couple weeks ago, got new prop,went for test run ,now lower unit makes weird noise when running wot, sounds something like a hole in a cars manafold ,but never over heats oil presure good ,goes in and out of gear great just different , dont think its the prop because its the same one that i was running before i changed it, open for ideals because im stumped. thanks

not since i dewinterized it and started using it 3 weeks ago ,why a spun hub will make it leak lower unit oil . that would be strange, thanks

A spun hub wouldnt make your lower unit leak oil...BUT, if it was already low, leaking out just a small amount more could make the difference between noise and no noise.

Id start by checking it before assuming the worst or worrying about anything else.
