spun hub ?

I have a 1976 johnson 25 HP as you give it gas at about 1/3 throttle the motor will rev but the boat will slow down and if you back off the gas it will continue to push the boat and run fine. I have spun a prop on a bigger motor before and this is what it is acting like is happening with this one as well. I removed the prop and the shear pin is good so my question is this does this prop have same kind of guts to it as the bigger props ? it looks diffrent than the ones on say a 150 or 175 ...or is the trouble in the gear case ? thanks for the help

Ayuh,... I believe yer Right,...

Get another prop, or possibly a Prop Shop can rehub that 1...

I can get the bushing for this prop and i have a press so i should be able to fix this my self ...right ?...or is there some untold trick to this that only a prop shop has the story on ??
