I have a twin 5.0's with Bravo II sterndrives. Got into some fairly shallow water over the weekend, plowed some mud, no hard strike that i know of. Problem now is Port engine now over revs when trying to get on plane. I am trying to determine if it is a spun prop or engine coupler. Looked at coupler, no obvious rubber debris, took prop off nothing obvious there either. I considering starting with having the prop re-hubbed. Any suggestions would be greatly apppreciated.

Mark the prop and hub, run it and see if its slipping. Just use a sharpie marker, draw a line and see if it moves in relation to the hub.;)

Its probably the prop. You can check it by putting a mark on the inner and outer hubs opposite each other. Then try it again. If the hub is spun the marks will no longer be lined up where you put them.

Very easy if that motor is overheating and reving high it's the coupler. If it's just reving high it's the prop.

It won't overheat...it's a BRAVO! Raw waterpump is on the engine.
