Square it up ro leave rounded

Getting ready to plug the transom. Would you square up the OMC hole or leave it rounded?

I'm glassing in the Old OMC hole in the trans. OMC 800. Will be going Merc. See 24 Silverline project Big ugly hole with rounded corners. Have tran. ground almost ready to feather for new glass. Will be inlarging the hole 3/4' all around to rid it of OMC boot holes

Round if off and what ever you do, do not square it up.

You create stress risers whenever you have a square, Will crack in the corners. Howard Hughs was dang near bankrupted back in the day due to square windows on one of his plane designs.
