I accidentally let gasket maker get on my vinyl seat, and it left an ugly yellow stain. Any ideas on how to remove it?

Try a Mr. Clean magic eraser - they've taken care of most of my vinyl problems. If that doesn't work you'll have to start working your way up the chemical ladder.

Try Spray 9 or the "Purple" cleaner. Both are hard, but safe on vinyl. They are alkaline based.

If that doesn't work, maybe a permatex #2 solvent might work. Try some turpentine. Next would be acetone. Hopefully the cleaners work for you.

Ok...you will think I’m mental here, but stick with me.
My vinyl sun pad was terribly stained after I left a wet beach towel on it for a few days, which then ran dye into the lovely and unique Campion Chase patterned vinyl. I was distraught and tried every vinyl cleaner on the market. After all....where or how do you replace such a thing on a boat so unique ?
my boat neighbor asked if I trusted him. I was reluctant, but had nothing to lose. I let him have a go.

He used neat concentrate paint thinner on a white cloth and with lots of water and a sponge at the ready, started to rub the thinner onto the vinyl. Very quickly and uniformly, until the vinyl actually started to only just go soft, almost melting. He then quickly rubbed it off with the water logged sponge. This was repeated all over the sun pad and then left in the sun that afternoon and all of the next day.
Incredibly, it vanished in less than 2 days with sun exposure. And this is in Scotland !!!
Honestly now, I literally tried about 6/7 of the best vinyl cleaners on the market and none of them worked.
Have a go, but just be careful and be very uniform in it’s apllication.
If nothing else, leave it exposed to the sun.
