Stainless Oven tops..need advice

Does anyone know how to get rid of "pit" marks from oven tops that are made out of stainless steal? Don't want to scrub real hard and mark the top more but there must be a trick to get rid of it. It's from our RV stove. It isn't real bad right now. Just some TLC is needed.

Try Autosol bike shops {motorcycles] have it, a paste cleaner takes alot of the pit off bike rims CTC {can tire]might have it to I think

Tks dolluper for the advice. Have to go to CTC today anyway so I will look for it.
