Stainless steel prop maintenance

I have my first stainless steel prop and it is from an aftermarket manufacturer. Prop runs fine. But after a recent week in saltwater (normally a freshwater trailered boat) the prop lost it's high stainless steel luster. I would think this is normal except it seems to me that other boat's stainless steel props seem to stay pretty shiny. I'm just wondering if this has more to do with my prop manufacturer's materials or if some of these other folks just polish their props. I know props that get abused get all ugly but we're talking about a new prop.

I have a pair of Solas & they do the same. I'm not all that much into looks but when they bother me I hit them with a plastic scrub pad & then polish with auto wax.

Tilex works good too, and just use a rag for that.
A white rag soaked with Vinegar works wonders as well.

Different types of stainless may be used in props.
They all have their own characteristics.
They stain less, but that doesn't mean not at all.
I find a little cleaner/wax shines mine right up.

Interlux makes a product for SS props that you just spray on. I haven't used any, but found it in the book today, says "makes cleaning easier" for what thats worth.

Don't Laugh but toothpaist and a tooth brush will make them shine also.
