Hi there im thinking of buying a stainless steel prop for my speedboat.

Its a 19ft v hull with a 1990 4.3 mercruiser inboard and alpha one gen 2 sterndrive.
At the moment its got a 21 pitch alluminium prop.

As we use the boat for mono skiing im looking for a bit more pull off the mark.

Does anyone know if a 18 pitch prop would be ok???

As we only use boat for skiing 50kmh(30mph) is our maximum speed.

also whats the benefits besides strength of a stainless prop??

Cheers Guys iash101

Re: Stainless steel prop question

Speaking generically; If you read the stickies at the top of the page and the helps
at the prop store page.It will help you understand prop selection better.
There is no need to go to ss.A good aluminum 4 blade prop in the right pitch will do very well.We will need more info before helping you make a selection.
Present prop size, weight, typical load,hp of the 4.3,gear ratio, present max rpm and speed.
