Good afternoon

I have a 1998 mercuries 350 EFI MPI
Engine Serial OL067176
Sterndrive OL153367

New rotor, new plugs and wires. The distributor was replaced last year

It runs great at idle and when I slowly accelerate/rave it up in neutral.

When at WTO it stalls and knocks. I believe the timing is set correctly. What could it be? I'm thinking the IAC

Ayuh,..... It's Wide Open Throttle,....

My guess is, it's runnin' outa gas,.... Check the Contents of the fuel filters for Crud, 'n Water,....

'n ya shouldn't be Revin' in neutral,... Without a load, Revin' means absolutely, Nothin',....

Re: Stall at WTO

The IAC only comes into effect during idle conditions. If your fuel filters are clean the need to put a pressure gauge on your fuel rail. The shrader valve is on the starboard side.

What should the pressure be and are there any "how to" instruction on here? I've never done a fuel pressure test before....
