1981 galaxy merc L6 165hp 165 merc outdrive, started up fine ran at idle speed a couple of min. throttled up to wot all is good at this point , then it just bogged down like outa gas but did not cut off so i putted around a couple of min. throttled up again did the samething. plenty of gas in tank . i just putted around at about 2000 rpms ran fine . only when running at wot or close to it did i have a problem. bad gas maybe? thanks for reading .george

Ayuh,... Or dirty Fuel Filters,.?.. Or plugged up Carb..?.

i hope its jist gas because i bought this gas somewhere other than shell which is what i always use in her,and i have not had any carbs problems what so ever , if a carb problem would this just occur at wot only or is this just a start of a bigger problem in the carb? thanks

stalling out update

after fearing the worst and looking and pricing carb parts i decided to start simple and go from there, well its a good thing i did because i saved myself alot of time and money because all it turned out to be was a stuck choke . lol . a little carb cleaner and away i cruise . thanks bondo for your input on my problem, george
