Have a 60hp "88" rude long story short it can idle or a little better for a long time when I give full throttle with in 3 to 4 minutes it stalls and takes a little time to restart and we repeat it again,I did run it Saturday or about 1 1/2 hour with no problem, tryed to go a couple hours later and thats when the problem started(I am thinking carbs need to be reworked)thanks for your help.

Re: stalling at full throttle

Carburetors do not come and go. They are either good or bad. Your problem appears to be intermitent which would eliminate any carburetor problem.

When this takes place, if the fuel primer bulb has a tendency to go flat, that would indicate a fuel restriction between the primer bulb and the fuel supply.

If the fuel primer bulb holds its shape..... and pumping that bulb (acting as a manual fuel pump) causes the problem to cease, then I would suspect either a failing fuel pump OR a fuel/air leak at some point between the fuel pump and the fuel supply.

Thanks Joe, we did try pumping the bulb but nothing happen at some points I believe the bulb was not as hard as when we first started, maybe if I change the bulb out that will help? And once again thanks for your input. Jim
