I have a 90 evinrude (86?) that stalls out when going full throttle. It also cuts out when trying to reverse. But if I stay below full throttle it goes forever. Sometimes the heat alarm will sound but only for a split secound.<br />Took it into a Marina and they told me that the bottom cylinders were running at 100 and that there was stale gas in the oil tank. Told me that I needed to replace the two cylinders and that it was not worth the cost- just buy a new motor, he said.<br />Don't feel as though I have had a complete diagnosis.<br />Is he correct?<br />Thanks
