I have read a lot of reports on this board on stalling and have been checking them out on my motor. I have a 87 merc 70hp. Last weekend coming across the lake it started cutting out. I could choke it and it would stay running but not very well. I then could reach back and pump the fuel bulb and it would run fine for a few seconds and do the same thing unless I kept pumping the fuel bulb. Is this a problem that anyone else has had? Any feed back would be appreciated.

Re: Stalling

check the fuel lines and all connections, make sure that they're tight.<br />also it could be time to rebuild your fuel pump.
