stalling

I have a 1968 Johnson 55 horsepower it wil not run at full throttle. It will run at about 1/4 throttle, keeps stalling out,any suggestions?

Hey eilla,<br />Without a lot more information, it's not possible to give more than an "educated guess." My guess is you have a serious fuel delivery problem. Check your entire fuel system from tank pickup through carbs. I'm sure you need to thoroughly clean your carbs.<br />Backlash

Do you have spark to all cylinders? Is the compression good? If so, when you are trying to power up, have someone squeeze the primer bulb repeatedly. If it goes, your fuel pump is shot. If not, you probably need a Carb. rebuild.
