I have a 1994 Johnson 150 Faststrike. After being on the water for a while the motor will occassionally start to cut out, sometimes shutting itself down just like the key was turned off. Most of the time it will start right back up but sometimes it may take a while to start. I replaced the powerpack thinking that was the problem but it still does it.Any ideas ?

Re: stalling

So many things.
I might well be the ignition switch. Disconnect the black and yellow wire from the powerpack. This is the wire that goes to ground when the ignition switch is turned off. If it's the switch, the engine will run o-k, but remember, the only way to kill the engine with the black and yellow wire off is to choke the engine down.

c/6

Hooty

Re: stalling

Could it be water in the gas? Pull a plug to see if there are water drops on or around the electrode.

Jerry
