I have a 225 HP mercury offshore outboard, and it idles good up to 1,500 RPM, and if you can get her up to 2,500 RPM she runs fine all the way up to 4,800 RPM, but between 1,500 and 2,500 she keeps stalling and really no power, every thing from the filler caps right to the primer ball is brand new even a racor water/filter she ran 25 miles off shore with no problem, but in the harbor no wake zone she will stall, any one ever have this problem thanks bob

PS the motor is a 1996 with carburetors, 2 stroke injection

I have the same problem on a 1996 225 offshore--hard to get above 1500rpm. Once over 2500 -3000rpm runs great. Seems to be very low on power. Sure would like ideas as to where to look as seems others have the same problem.
