Standtube & Clip? 1993 force 120

Hi,
I have just finished tearing down the entire engine to do a rebore.
In the process I came across two exhaust relief Standtube's and one clip the other clip is missing.
What i cant figure out is where and how they go they were just sitting there loose in the exhaust boot.
Figure they are there for a good reason, will it work without them? if i can't get another clip.

I found out where and how they go.In case anyone want's to know.If you have ever found a plastic tube in your exhast boot. there are two of them that go on the inside of the leg just inside of the exhaust boot. there are two holes.the clip helps hold the tube in the hole. now just need to find one clip which is NLA.
Maybe I can use an adhesive to keep the tube in its hole.

I ran into the same problem. Only on mine, the plastic stand tube had gotten brittle and broke off. I Just threaded the holes with a 3/8th inch diameter pipe thread tap and used two threaded plastic pipes from Home Depot from the plumbing dept. Worked great.

That's a great idea I may try that. sure would keep it from coming out again.
