Got a new boat since I posted last. Sea Ray 300 Sundancer twin 350's, Alpha 1 outdrives. Boat, drives and engines are all 1986 817 hrs on all. I troll with this boat, so I troll w/ only 1 motor at a time, I just switch them every couple of hours. Everything runs great until I'm running my starboard motor and I have to turn hard to port/ starboard to complete a turn. The drive quickly vibrates (along w/ the steering wheel) until I recorrect and straighten out the wheel. This only happens on the starboard motor, boat does have power steering by the way. It only happens when I'm running that one motor, when I've got both motors running, drive operates fine. Anything I should be looking at, hopefully a quick and minor fix, just appeared out of the blue last week. Thanks everyone.

Thanks Bond-o,
Before I had the boat thrown in the water this May, I had the Lowers pulled and went through, they replaced the port side gimble but didn't note anything about the starboard. Couldn't be anything in the steering linkage? On twin powered boats, doesn't the power steering come from port motor, if so could this have something to do w/ it? Like I said in earlier post, does it only when motor is at trolling speed when I am running that motor only (starboard). When I start up an run both motors, no sign of problem at all (for now)

My PS is on the strbrd side. Mine had a similar symptom, was low on PS fluid due to a fitting leak.
