starcraft boat info ?

Great boat. Very light for its size.

It is a close relative to the Holiday, Islander and Super Sport. They all used the same hull. The Cheiftain and Islander were both cuddies with the Cheiftain being the larger of the two.

What Year is the hull,..??....

Starcrafts came with Mercruisers,+ a few OMCs,......

Some pictures would Help in identifying what the outdrive was.....

If it had an OMC drive, the hole in the transom will be quite large and almost square, with rounded corners.

If it was a MerCruiser, the hole looks kind of like a key hole.

For you, I hope it had the latter.

I had a 1979, 25 ft Chietain with a four cyl mercruiser, it did all right for me, and had plenty of power for that size.

Thanks, I was wondering about the power level of a 4 cyl. Just going to be touring Lake Powell AZ. and some family fishing.

Looks similar, same idea on the cabin/conning station, a little more sleek hull design.

Look at item # 180196853157 on ebay. It's a complete drop in 3.0L 4 cyl. (135 HP) MerCruiser. Pretty much a direct drop in unit for your boat. The old 4 cyl's were 120 HP, at the prop, at best. The newer ones are 135.

There are usually other examples.

I had a starcraft mariner 18,1989, the bottom started having little pin holes appearing which were caused by electrolisis,had to scrap it. start out looking like a little bump that would pop.
