hello.
i have an old tri hull i am getting ready to restore. the floor is bad, and i also found some soft spots on one of the stringers, i have not entirely disassembled it yet.(that is today's project) and i'm sure there are more. my question is can I make this a center console boat? the bow has two seat/ storage boxes, then comes back and is the dash, ,windshield support and where the wheel is now all made out of what looks like a one piece mold. then it turns into the plywood floor. If i take the consoles out, and and fabricate a new console in the middle, would this make the boat structure unstable and unsafe? i'm not sure if the existing console is needed to tie everything together from one side of the boat to the other.
i have used the websites forum before and everyone has been very helpful. I'm looking forward to any insight, ideas, and comments anyone has. Thanks!
