We own a 1985 21' starcraft supersport and I found this ad on my local craigslist. Brought back memories of our restore - because this is what our boat looked like this past winter when we gutted it - this is a really great boat if you have the patience to put in a new deck and motor.

yes - ours is finished - but this hull is a good hull for the right buyer. Easy to work on and easy to tow!

NO - that's not my boat - or my listing (I would tell you that). I came across it on the craigslist and I know from time to time we make a post just in case one of our fellow Starcrafters with BAC may need parts or want to restore another one. Since this one is already torn up - you could get below that deck pretty easily....

Like I said - we just redid ours from bow to stern - I will post my thread this winter when I'm not out fishing! This one brought back memories though- especially that transom plate - but ours came out showroom new!

Just thought one of us might be interested here. I love the starcraft supersports.

PS - rick - thanks for the info on the get together. Would be nice to put some faces to our forum here!

I have been home with the dreaded H1N1 flu, read your post saying this was our boat last winter, followed your link and thought i was hallucinating from fever again,thinking to myself I just saw that add on craigslist.after reading further posts and checking my temperature all is well.

stevenj - sorry to add to your discomfort and confusion!!! I hope you recover soon.

I go to my local craigslist every day to see what boats are up for sale. I'm an addict... I also look here on iboats to see what everyone has been up to. Which is why we took on the restore this past winter on the supersport... I couldn;t have done it without this forum.

are you up by the big lake too?

PS - I just know I'm going to see this one souped up at the Starcraft gathering next summer aren't I - but who will it be? Rick or Kev???

All I gotta say is thank god it's an I/O. I really didn't want to have to try to explain to my wife why I needed $700 and to drive to OH the week before our vacation

jennis, yes, I am west of cleveland in Elyria, I actually just purchased a starcraft on cl. The islander that was listed a week ago. 22 footer, want to get ready for some fall perch and walleye, and work on a full restore later.

It all started 10 days ago, go to work 2 days, foot becomes very painful,go
to doctor, tell him I did not injure foot but hurts. tells me you got gout but we will x-ray any way. X-ray shows foot is broken! O.K. now no worky. Stay home for R and R, find boat on cl, go buy it, bring home , come down with
the worst flu bug ever, fever ,chills, delerious, bla bla bla. go back to doc monday,does in house tests , then sends me to hospital lab, get lots of meds,
follow up yesterday, Thursday, Yep you have influenza A, So here I sit broken footed, Still a flu carrier for up to another week, weak, anxious to
work on new to me boat but hardly any energy, anticipating feeling better but now rain in forcast, boy am I rambling. sorry

So back to your initial question Yes I am West of Cleveland.

Well, since my thread here has been sliced, diced and hyjacked to death -- I'll take off and talk to steve for a moment.

stevej - sorry to hear you are under the weather (to say the LEAST!!) I hope for your speedy recovery there. I'll ask if you are a member of OGF - ohiogamefishing.com. If you aren't - you might want to go there and read, read, read. Great source for fishing ohio and another great friendly forum like this one!! oh and we are EAST in Cleve hts. please let us know that you recover. that's a nasty virus...

Congrats on your new boat - the islander is a fishing machine for certain - really like that tinny. Please post pics. I'm getting my pics ready to make a post of our new upholstery - I am actually finishing up the bow seats this weekend. Like I said, I will put together a thread this winter when we're all stricrazy and in need of a good boat fix.

I still want to know who is going to come to ohio to get this hull....

i'd go right now to get it, except i would have to stay there because my wife would NOT let me back in the house after.
