Starcraft Extreme 20 ft

Being touted as the best Ocean going Starcraft for Wash -Oregon coast at local Boat show advertisment Comeing This month on the 25th of January 2012. Can not find any info on the Starcraft Mfg site or even a mention . Check on your local Boat shows for whatever it may be. Think it may be Aluminum but may be a glasser. I do know they are building some welded hulls. ??? Pugetsound

Smokercraft, closely related to Starcraft, has this model, westcoast design and super thick welded hull, bet Starcraft's new offering is similar.

What a shame it is a 20', they should have added the extra 2' and made her a 22'1".
That way if the bar is closed at 20' you can cross and go fishing, with the 20' model you have to stay at the dock.
I can't afford a new boat but hope they have a hard top on this one, ocean fishing you need the hard top for taking waves over the front if the weather gets bad.
I had my 21' Cheif one day in short choppy 3-6' waves with almost every wave breaking over the bow and putting lots of water on the upper windsheild. I was glad to get home that day, the wind picked up fast and I had to go into the waves 4-5 miles to get home.
