Death don't have no mercy in this land
i said now, death don't have no mercy in this land, not this land
he come to your house he won't stay long
look out the window one of your Starcrafts will be gone
death don't have no mercy in this land

Re: Starcraft graveyard!

we prefer poor pictures to poor driving. the latter eats up the boat resto budget too fast..........

I say, I say, I needs to be getting me somes of them thar gunnels before they be gettin a too cuymbled.......I say , I say.....I am in desperate need of some donar gunnels..... to trim the cut gunnels on my islander( cutting the top off).......I may have to call and make an appointment.... but I have fears...I tried to buy sheets of aluminum at a local scrap yard.... for boat projects..like a splash well or a console....and they guy didn't want to deal with me.... he just wanted his pile to grow... I would have given him MORE than the scrap value!!...no way bob

DII - We're trying to keep them away from you. In reality, since that yard is in Rhode Island, we might be seeing the aftermath of Sandy. And forced scrapping by the insurance companies. Just guessing.

This could have been titled "The birth of a beer can" sniff

There is one sitting at the scrapper right now that had a bad bowectomy, I've asked about it but no answer so far.
They sell there stuff for .65 per pound or will often just throw out a number.

Spare parts @ $0.65/lb. That's a real deal.

Re: Starcraft graveyard!

I called the scrap yard and they wont sell any parts off the boat...you can buy the whole boat for 65 cents a pound....I asked about taking some parts off......so I may get a few extra batteries for my 19 volt power tools and my trailer, run down buy the boat for 64cents a pound....pull it out to the street, park it, and cut off all the parts I need...then tow it back in and sell it for 50 cents a pound.....but id have to find enough good parts to make it worth my while...so if it weighed 500 lbs, it would cost me $75.........hmmmmm bob

Re: Starcraft graveyard!

I go by Wadena, MN...by train and see this in Wadena Hide & Fur...4 aluminum boats...
not sure what they are..Lund?...The town just to the west of Wadena is New York Mills..
where they build Lund, Crestliner & Brunswick...boats...so it is probably Lund in the scrap heap...
they seem to get a regular supply of aluminum boats to scrap...
