Starcraft Holiday into Tender duck Boat

I bought this boat in hopes of turning it into a tender boat for duck hunting. I stripped it out and have found plans from another guys post on here but have a couple of questions. I cut the bow back and need to support the cut portion and trim it to cover up the cut metal. Any tips of covering it up would be appreciated!

Here is where i cleaned it out and cut the bow back. In the last picture between the wood is where i need to add support ad trim out. I cut the metal 1 1/2" longer so i could bend it down all the way around cut open bow.
