Hi all! I am not really that new to this site but couldn't remember my log in password and the e-mail address that I used for my original user account was closed out. Anyhow, I just purchased this old starcraft Seafarer and the guy can't find the title for it. I have no idea what year it is so I was hoping for some help trying to find out. I will post a picture of it here in a few minutes but the wasnt sure if maybe there was a way to identify it by the serial number which is 926413?

From looking at the Starcraft logo on the side it should help to at least give a clue. I know that they changed their logo a few times. From looking at other Seafarers I was thinking maybe some where around 1960-70....some where around there? Sheesh! this is giving me a headache! LOL I was looking forward to restoring it but if I cant pin down the year I may reconsider.

How come? She is a great boat, totally worthy of a rebuild no matter the year eh? That would be a fun project!

Every starcraft is worthy of a restoration. I know in Nebraska, boats 72 and older don't require a title. Not sure about other states though.

Mid-60's would be my guess. That's a very nice deep 14' that I certainly wouldn't mind owning.

Well, I decided that I probably will restore it but I am just hoping to find original plastic Starcraft emblems for the sides. Anyone know a place to get them?
I'm not really sure what kind of hassle it may turn into getting it registered I suppose. I'm just not sure what the process will be.
My wife and I took it out to the reservoir Saturday and had a good time fishing out of it. It is much more stable than my 14' jon boat.

Those are stinkin tough to find, especially rare in one complete piece. They pop up on eBay every once in a while. There was a fella around here that made reproductions, not so sure if he is still into that.

He said he is going to Jason, but he is not sure when. I know he will post when he is ready to have it done though.

Awww.. I knew that might be the case. Darn it! lol Maybe I can hunt a couple down from a boat salvage yard here in town that would be intact enough to either restore or get copies made.

I just got a call from the guy that I bought the boat from and he found the title! It is a 1969. Thanks everyone for your help and I should be starting a restoration thread on it here soon.

If the plastic emblems are the ones I am thining of, they put those on some of the Starcraft campers as well. I have a relative with a junked camper I'm going to snatch the emblems off of as they are still in one piece.

These here??

No those are different from mine. the ones I need are the ones with the arrow through them like the one in my picture in post #2. But congrats on your find there. If only I could get so lucky. Lol!
