Starcraft semi-V row boat seats

My 2004 Starcraft SL12 has aluminum seats.
I recently saw an older version of the same model
that had wood seats, they looked like planks with some
big rectangular floatation material undreneath them.
Does any know about when Starcraft swtiched from
wooden seats to the all aluminum ones?
