Hi, I bought a 16' Starcraft aluminum boat that I'd like to locate an owners manual for. The serial # is STRH54350982-A3 I believe the year is 1982. Thanks for anyone who can point me in the right direction.

Re: Starcraft

Welcome to iboats:)

Is the bow open or closed? If it's a walk-thru windshield with open bow then it is a Starcraft Supersport or SS.

If it's got a closed bow then it's a Jupiter or Holiday probably. Here's a link to a collection of brochures from various years that will help you identify the rig.

Post some pictures if ya can, we love to check out Starcrafts:D

Re: Starcraft

Your chances of finding one aren't good. Many manufacturers didn't produce them and even if they did, they were often very generic information like safe boating tips, etc. A factory service manual for your specific motor, however, is well worth locating.

Welcome to iboats! Are you aware that you've stumbled upon probably the largest collection or tin Startcraft enthusiasts on the internet? Head on down to the Startcraft section of this forum and let us see some pics!!

Thanks, I had no idea there were starcraft enthusiasts here. I will go home and get some pictures tonight to post up, and head to the Starcraft section. See you there.

EZ is right about the manuals...that's kind of why I linked to the brochures because they are the closest thing available.

So...is it open bow?(ok...ok...I will wait to see the photos:))

I'm not trying to be out of line here, but would you share with us why you feel you need a manual for an aluminum boat? Probably there are a couple dozen folks on here that can answer any possible question that you could conceive about that boat.

Now if it were an engine, especially a peculiar, unique one, then surely a manual would be in order.....but for that boat...........TRY US!!!!!!! I had at least one of them; 18' I/O.

Re: Starcraft

Tex, I was hoping the manual would give me the max HP of the boat. Nonetheless, I'm good now because I found the plate and could just barely make out that it's 90hp. Thanks
