Starmada, Here it is - The Strarmada Splash of the Year Award. The inaugural winner is NB "Liquid Limo". Clay wins because we screwed him at Tinstock, his motor even blew up while we were stiffing him, and if you have seen pictures of him....well he could use an award - either that or he set the gold standard of Splashes with the Liquid Limo. As you hopefully can derive from the award, NB gets to hold this till we award the next SOTY at which time the plaque gets forwarded to the new winner and so on...
What does this mean for NB? Most likely small children and dogs will like him more, he probably is an inch taller, Liquid Limo gained 3 mph on the GPS, large bucks will throw themselves in front of whatever he is shooting, and in all likelihood his wife will find him better....you know....at adjusting his carb.
As far as the format for the next winner - I think it should be open to anyone who splashed since the time began and next year it wll be for those 2011 splashes. I think it should be open voting like a poll thread and anyone who throws their hat in the ring just puts up three pics and includes some info and also what it cost to do the whole thing - that way voters can take into account frugality and ingeniuty in addition to other resources.
So there you have it. This is the only website I visit everyday to see what everyone is up to - glad to add a little excitement.
Ez - Can you sticky this? and also maybe we can have a chat scheduled again to ....well....chat about the SOTY.
Possibly NB can add a small acceptance speech to this thread:redface:
