First of all. Thanks to all who have shared their experiences and knowledge here on IBOATS. I have been reading and reading
I bought my boat for 750 "boat motor and trailer" Even though I read about how wet the foam gets,
I couldn't believe how much water there is. Also for a Bay Liner so far the stringers and transom are good. May the Boat Gods be with me Sorry camera is broken I will post some pics soon. Again thanks in advance cuz I know i will have a few questions.

Did you take a core sample of the stringers & transom to verify they are "good"?

It would be like some kind of a miracle or something if an 87 'liner with wet foam and rotten deck didn't have rotten structural wood (stringers and transom).

... and even if they didn't appear rotten I would still remove the 27 yr. old stringers and transom and replace them if I was going to go through the trouble of tearing out the deck and wet foam.

I'm pretty sure if you remove those stringers and transom you will find rot.

Pictures of your boat will help us help you better.
