I'm starting to think my stator/rectifier isn't keeping my batteries charged well enough. I have two batteries installed on my boat. Recently I've noticed that the starter only engages on the flywheel if I use both batteries to start. Otherwise if I just use one battery it just free spins. I'm assuming that means one battery isn't giving it enough juice to spin the starter to make it spin up and engage on the flywheel. I only use the boat about once a month and I try to put it on the charger before I use it. I don't know if it's just from lack of use and the charging system isn't able to charge the battery good enough from sitting for a whole month or what.
