Starter doesn't engage the flywheel, lots of ticks

Hello

After installing a new battery, new starter engine and cleaning all cables for my nanni diesel 14hp engine, I was surprised to hear only a rapid ticking. I checked the electrical diagram checked the battery connections and still only a rapid ticking. The cables get hot after a few times cranking, I assume that is because the many amps that are flowing through the cables.

I tried to move the flywheel by hand, not sure that should be easy, problem is can only touch with fingers, cannot put much force on it. Is it possible to turn the flywheel with your finger of a diesel engine?

Did ya try a prybar on the flywheel teeth, when the starter was Off,..??

Found it, one cable not well connected and the new starter engine is not identical with the original one.
