Starter for 56 Evinrude 30

I just tightened the terminal nut on the starter of my 56 Evinrude 30 ES too tight and the bolt twisted off. I believe the starter part # is 277432. What are my options for repairing? Do I need to get a new starter? Thanks Jenny

Just snug Jenny, but I guess its too late now, lol.

It can be repaired. A local starter/alternator repair shop could do it with ease and give the inside a once over at the same time. Make sure they know it is a 6 volt starter though.
