I have a 1978 mercruiser 898. I had a manifold leaking on the starter and it rusted out the starter fuse. When looking for a new one I found 2 listed for this motor. One is a 55amp fuse and the other is a 90 amp. Both look identical. So do I need the 55 or the 90? How do I know?

most are 90A for the system or the alt feed to the battery. the 50A is the CB mounted on the motor itself

This would be the square nylon block fuse the connects to the starter solenoid. It then has a whip on it that runs up to the slave solenoid.

That's where I looked, Mercruiser parts.com. The diagram for the 898 shows the fuse. When I scroll down to that part # is shows both a 55 and a 90. They use the same picture for both and both are white. That's why I am confused. So I need the 90 then?
